Call Recording Disclosure
How CoworkBridge records and transcribes calls handled by the AI Front Desk, and the consent it relies on.
What is recorded
Calls answered by an AI Front Desk line may be recorded as audio and converted to a written transcript. Recording is enabled per customer. Where it is enabled, it applies to the portion of the call handled by the AI assistant.
The disclosure a caller hears
At the start of the call, before any information is collected, the caller hears the following:
This call is being handled by an AI assistant and may be recorded or transcribed for service and quality purposes. By continuing, you consent to the use of this system.
A caller who does not want to be recorded can say so and the assistant will take a message without recording, or transfer the caller to a person where transfer rules allow.
Consent
Some states require every party to a call to consent to recording. Others require only one party. Because a caller's location is not reliably known at the moment they dial, CoworkBridge uses an all party consent approach everywhere: the disclosure plays first, and the caller consents by continuing.
The customer business is responsible for confirming this approach satisfies the law in the states where it operates and where its callers are located. CoworkBridge will adjust the disclosure wording on request.
Who can access recordings
- The customer business whose line received the call.
- CoworkBridge staff, for quality monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving call handling for that customer.
- The telephony and transcription vendors that carry and process the call. See the Third Party Service Disclosure.
Recordings are not sold, and they are not used to train general purpose AI models.
How long recordings are kept
See the Data Retention Policy.
Requests from callers
A caller who wants a recording deleted should contact the business they called. That business can instruct CoworkBridge to delete it, and we will act on a verified instruction.
